Narrative:

 同機はイリノイ州セントルイスリージョナル空港を18:36 UTC (13:36 local time) に離陸しフロリダ州フォート・ローダーデール・エギュゼクティブ空港（KFXE)にむかった。巡航高度のFL390まで上昇した。

飛行途中でATCは同機と交信不能になり、 20:52 UTCにFL390のままKFXE上空を通過し、080°で大西洋に向かった。

 ホームステッド空軍基地のF-15が2機緊急発進したが、機体は21:47 UTCごろ大西洋に墜落した。

Narrative:
Aeroflot flight 1492, a Sukhoi Superjet 100-95B, returned to land at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport in Russia. A fire erupted and all occupants evacuated on the runway. Officials confirmed that 13 occupants had died.

The aircraft took off from Sheremetyevo Airport's runway 24C at 18:03 hours local time on a scheduled service to Murmansk. Unconfirmed media reports suggest that the aircraft was hit by lightning on departure. Cumulonimbus clouds were present near the airfield at 6000 feet.
同機はシェレモチェボ空港を現地時間18:03 に24C滑走路から離陸しムルマンスクへの定期運航に向かおうとした。未確認メディア報道では出発時に落雷を受けたとある。空港上空6000フィートには積乱雲があった。

The flight crew elected to return to the airport aircraft circled back. About 18:17 the aircraft overshot the runway centreline. Altitude at that time was about 2400 feet. The aircraft continued the right hand turn, completed a circle and proceeded on the final approach. CCTV footage shows the aircraft bouncing on the runway after what looks like an initial touch down. After the second touchdown flames erupted and engulfed the rear of the aircraft. The aircraft slid to a stop on the grass between runway 24L and two taxiways. An emergency evacuation was then carried out.
乗員は空港へ帰還することとし旋回しながら戻った。18:17ごろ同機は滑走路を高度2400フィートで飛び越した。その後右旋回を始め、旋回を終わり最終アプローチに入った。監視カメラ映像では着地後に機体が飛び跳ねるのが見える。二回目の着地で炎が巻き起こり機体後部を包んだ。機体は地面上を滑り24L滑走路と誘導路の間の草地で停止し緊急脱出が行われた。
