パキスタン国際航空8303便のエアバス320がカラチ-ジンナ国際空港（KHI)へのアプローチ中に墜落した。同社は乗客91名乗員8名が搭乗していたと発表。同便はラホールを減時間13：05に離陸し、カラチに14：45に着陸の予定だった。滑走路25Lへの着陸許可がでていた。同機から14：35にゴーアラウンドするとしてILSでの25Lアプローチの許可を求めてきた。管制官は左旋回し110度で高度3千フィート上昇を指示した。4分後に同機から「エンジン出力喪失」の報告があり、直後に緊急事態を宣言した。
機体は滑走路25Lから約1360メートル地点の住宅地に墜落した。直後に機体は爆発し、大規模火災が発生した。
ARY通信によれば97名の遺体を回収し、乗客2名が生存。
